Pop Culture Monday

Ever since I became a singer/actor, I've looked forward to Mondays. The weekend always meant five shows. Monday was the day off. I'm determined to carry that feeling of excitement into this week. Sunday was low- key, but fun. I watched football (same with Saturday); ate a yummy supper prepared by gotmoof; and finally got a chance to watch the first act of ( Read more... )

Thanks, Joseph. I did my best and think it went very well! I just dropped Tim off at the house and got to hug John's neck. He shared Swiss chocolates with me!! YAY!

HUGS!

It was close toss-up between Vitamitavegaman or the Chocolate Factory, but I chose the factory. Something about keeping up with production and an excuse to eating chocolate! :) Sofia is my favorite because of her voice and she always had good comeback lines-- something I wish I could do. My current favorite show is 'Fringe', because it just captivates me from the onset with acamedic labs, alternative universes, government investigations, and deception all rolled into one show.

Good luck with your interview today! Blow em outta da park! HUGS

I haven't watched Fringe yet. It's its second season, though, right?

Thanks for the words of support!

Yes, second season, so might be able to catch up on the 1st season using hulu.com

I just tried hulu.com for the first time a couple of weeks ago to follow up on Glee. It was a good experience, though it was disconcerting to not have dialogue and mouths match:) But, perhaps that has more to do with the speed of my laptop than anything else.

It's a bit early to gauge what our fave TV would be, doncha think?

I've watched one episode of "Flash Forward" and with the possible exception of "Glee" (which seems too hokily 'gleeful' after watching the early summer first episode), don't want to see any of the others you're watching.

Haven't a clue how Flash Forward is going to maintain momentum. It has a Fringe-like beat to it with the early insinuation of malevolent US or Russian participation (perhaps aliens posing as humans?) as the cause of the 2:17 minute 'pause'.

I hadn't even heard of "Fringe" and today I find out it's in its second season. I should have asked folks what new shows they're trying out and to define "other"! :)

I really hope so! I've been focused on making connections the last two weeks, rather than blindly applying to openings online. I've certainly gotten further ... faster ... through networking. Oddly, in every interview so far, one of the first questions asked is, "Would you relocate?" I just moved here, but I guess I better entertain that as a possibility.
