Yeah, this article created a shitstorm last week I've heard.

What I'm talking about are the folks who just want to run a little, then walk a little, then run a little because they'd like to enjoy the marathon experience without, you know, being an monomaniacal freak about it.

The marathon experience is about the run, about the work you put in before and during, about the accomplishment of testing your physical and mental limits. To me, stopping in the middle of the run to eat lunch, as some of these folks have done, or treating it as a coffee klatch as you walk and chat the course with a group of friends, has nothing to do with the marathon experience. If you're walking/jogging it but really putting your utmost effort into it, well, that's a different story completely and I can't imagine people getting really upset about that.

Seriously, where's the harm?None. As you mentioned, someone's always gonna be slower. If that's their complaint, it's ridiculous (for one, if there's a staggered start like at most big events, you never even ( ... )
