I've never read as much of him as I feel I ought, based on what friends have to say. That story in The Martian Chronicles with the Poe reenactments has stuck with me since the fifth grade. And I have read a few other of his books. This, though, I just ran across yesterday. The man does have a hell of a range.

I reread We Have Always Lived in the Castle this weekend, and I wondered if North Bennington had the gall to put up any tributes to Shirley Jackson. On the internet, anything is possible.
