I ran a link to a series of pictures of the dangerously hot Nigella Lawson in a velvet dress. Ms. Lawson is rather curvy, and was thus described as "Rubenesque."

This is a filthy-filthy painting by Mr. Peter Paul Rubens (no, not Pee Wee).

I used a simple litmus test: I felt a deep-seated urge to jump upon Nigella and then an urge to jump away from those three in the forest.

Oddly enough, the same writer, who applauds Ms. Nigella's curvy-ness, seems to criticize Simon LeBon and Nick Rhodes for appearing "portly" and flirting with supermodels.

Whether or not Nigella qualifies as "Rubenesque", well I suppose we'd need to see her nekkid, to note whether or not she's appropriately lumpy. A good foundation garment will hide all that.
