We're fixing up the bathroom, and as I chipped off the old cheap plastic tiles and peeled away the circa 80s wallpaper, I found an amazing old wallpaper pattern. The house is 110 years old. I imagine this came from the 30s or 40s.

That's a neat one. Old wallpaper seems so foreign. We have a very strange pattern in our bedroom that was painted over (grrrrrr...) but the bits I've been able to find reveal a very curious color palette and gaudy design of a flower motif. It may be ugly, but at least it's got character.
