David Bowie sings Billy Ray Syrus' Achy Breaky Heart.

Sam Beam sings Kraftwerk's Pocket Calculator.

Lisa Loeb sings Nine Inch Nails' Closer.

Rammstein sings Pink Floyd's Arnold Lane.

Minnie Ripperton sings Crash Test Dummies Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm.

I don't really need to hear any of these; I just want to see if you can hear them in your head.

I loved "Audioslave," and pretty much from the first time I heard "I Am The Highway" I imagined Cher singing it.

Yay. I love these. I listed a buncha these in my zine way back whenever ago.
I should dig up some of those old zines and see what I thought back then.

Now I think I'd like to see

Bonnie "Prince" Billy cover "Island of Domination" by Judas Priest

Einstürzende Neubauten cover "Shake Dog Shake" by the Cure

Years ago when we were working on "Oliver" at our community theatre (I was in the light booth), I couldn't get an imagined Tori Amos version of "Food, Glorious Food" out of my head....and now that I'm thinking of it again, it still cracks me up.

#1 exists in my head, because I can never forget my friend Dave Crozier doing this 28 years ago in Jersey: Bob Dylan doing Public Enemy's "Night of the Living Baseheads"

#2 really exists, but you just brought it to mind: Bobby Bare, Jr.'s cover of "What Difference Does It Make?"

I ought to be able to come up with actual answers, but I'm tired.
