I believe the prompt was given BEFORE angsty April (if I'm wrong, let's ignore that), therefore, can you write another drabble (when you have time) where Tuon is not being heartbroken over the fact that Siobhan is crying?!

I love the little details, like the water being drunk but the food being untouched.
But even with it being angsty, it shows a LOT of growth on Tuon's part, this is probably a couple of years in the future, so the twins and Tuon are both 9ish, I'd say.
As to why they're crying: "if it had been his mother, he would also be inconsoluble."
Their mother died. I think to avoid any more dead babbys, she died in an accident of some kind, but that's why they're both inconsoluble, and they have more privacy with Cearul visiting the Shittenou-Trainees than if Siobhan had gone to the more populated barracks that Cearul's in.
Endymion is kinda pouty about the food not being touched. Karan and Nascha, however, eased that some.
