- Brian Aldiss - Who Can Replace a Man?
- Isaac Asimov - Foundation
- Jorge Luis Borges - A Universal History of Iniquity
- Ray Bradbury - Dandelion Wine
- Edgar Rice Burroughs - The Gods of Mars
- Job- Raymond Chandler ( Read more... )

I'll play! I'll recommend Watership Down and Dandelion Wine. Oh, and the Lovecraft. I keep thinking about trying to read Moby Dick but every time I try ... it gets ugly.

Moby Dick seems to be permanently on my short list of books to read. It is daunting.

I would go with Doomsday Book, mostly so I can get some more face time with that man on the cover. Cough.

Oooh, dandelion wine sounds good... haven't read any of those books, though, except for a little of the Lovecraft and Grimm. Which are both fabulous.

I am actually quite surprised to hear that Lovecraft is fabulous.

I'd love for you to read the Asimov book and do a book report for us. It probably is one of those books which are either completely awesome or miserably dull.

What I'm saying is that I would like to know how it is.

I am also curious. The cover claims it has won the Hugo award for Best. Series. Evar.
