I had no trouble simultaneously believing in God's creation of mankind and accepting the fact of the Big Bang, plate tectonics, and evolution by natural natural selection when I was a kid.  It wasn't for lack of education in either area; I knew my Scripture better at age fourteen than I do now, and I'd read anything I could get my little mitts on
