Have just come back from a kinda farewell type dinner for Simon. Sonya and Tina were there. It seems that we all no longer really have that much in common as we just don't see each other that much. We all move in differnt circles, and we never could latch onto a topic that provided the intimate link we used to share. Such was the advantage when we ( Read more... )

i hate losing friends to girlfriends... i know that's not what you were saying, but you're right about how the whole dynamic changes, and it's all new and unfamiliar

Well, it is kinda what I was saying. And it's not that the dynamic changes, it's that the dynamic is lost. I kinda blame (ooh, harsh word) Tina and Simon for the loss. Simon because he doesn't actually need friends and Tina because she's moderately boring... or just doesn't open up to me.

Hehe. But I don't hate Tina. I just think she's boring and can't really see what Sonya sees in her.

life can really suck sometimes. I have had this happen to me a couple of times in the last couple of years. Friends that I have held dear to me, have slowly drifted away. So slowly that I didn't notice until it was too late.
