I was offered a raise today, but the amount is so small as to be almost insulting. Basically they're going to use this small pay raise to justify a lot more work taking more of my time - time that could be better spent doing things other ( Read more... )

And *sympathetic hugs* on the teeth. Seriously... that sucks, and I feel your pain. I need a shitload of fillings, a root canal, and a wisdom tooth removed. In other words, my dentist's kid will be going to a good university thanks to me. ;)

Yeah, I've been wearing the invisalign braces for a coupla months. Good on you for pretending you didn't notice my increased lisping and stuttering.

can you really say no to a pay rise? has that ever been done? but if they're just doing it so they can screw many more hours of you, say nay!

I might be the first! Really, it's a matter of finding my worth in the marketplace. Knowing that I'm a wage slave with a house full of furniture, it would probably be good to know I could get a similar paying job elsewhere.

maybe this is the gentle nudge to find a better job somewhere else where you're much more appreciated (and hopefully better paid)
