Your mosaic is beautiful! Well done.

I didn't realize how much of the art of South Street he is responsible for. I suppose his wife owns The Eye Gallery (Latin American crafts). I've bought a few birthday presents there. And it is covered with mosaic. I thought he was only responsible for that one garden, but now I realize he must have done ALL the mosaics on South Street. It's a shame that street is going through a bit of a hard time right now - a lot of buildings stand empty right now, and in fact some of the owners of the buildings are letting artists use the stores as very cheap gallery space, until the economy rebounds, just so that they're occupied by someone. Maybe these are even Isaiah's buildings!

I don't know if you remebered I contacted you a while ago as you are close to Philly about Zagar's work. I'm sorry to hear that the area is going down as work on this scale needs to be preserved.

Thank for the comment on the mosaic panel. It still needs to be cleaned up and grouted. I've finished the second identical panel today and have four smaller sections to go - I'll post some more pics later. I just hope I'm not going to run out of tiles as all the suppliers seems to be closed between XMas & New Year and I would like to have this done and fitted before the 31st

I do remember - I haven't come across anything about him yet. South Street will recover - it's just the economy. It goes through waves of affluence and slim times.
