Dude, if I can approach the quality of your pictures, I'll consider myself lucky.
Yes, this is geared towards portraits (hence the flash and its accessories) and travel. Not really wildlife, as 300mm on a full-frame is not very long.
Yeah, I am really intrigued by Lightroom, especially the new Highlight and Shadow sliders that supposedly allow you to easily extract tons more detail from RAW shots.
Lens cleaning kit... hmm... thanks, I'll think about it.
I may be projecting, but the projectile is intended to reach you!
The pen is just as convenient to use on the filters as on the lens. Dust and prints, both. And if there are compact cameras in the household, especially, say, in kids' possession (Sarah excluded), it's invaluable.
Speaking of Sarah, what does she have? And how's her hobby going?
Thanks for the tip on the cleaning pen. I'll get it.
Sarah used to shoot with a late-model Rebel before dropping it into a mountain stream a few months ago. Then she bought herself a 60D. As for lenses, she has shot exclusively with a 50mm 1.8. I got her a 28mm 1.8 in December (as a gift for getting accepted into her - and our - top choice college) but she hasn't shot with it much yet. Also I finally got around to repairing my 50mm 1.4 and gave it to her.

What do you use for workflow, Lightroom?

Agree w/your statement on 300mm on a full-frame, I guess.
I am a real neanderthal, don't use filters or lens hoods. I guess one small thing that's missing is some kind of lens cleaning kit.

On a less pressing note, get a lens cleaning pen. Also, I myself like a hand grip strap, but that's a matter of preference

Thanks, I'll think about it. All my lenses are covered with a UV filter, so theoretically I shouldn't need it.

That's because you have huge bear hands. I always shoot two-handed.

Когда-то надо было не забыть изделие #2 и запасное бельё. А теперь?
Gel holder with gels, правда, внушает надежду, что еще не все потеряно.
