New spin on collab - The Clip Fairy(s)!

Ive been listening to a handful of mash-up tracks lately, and while a few of them are achievable - its the ones that I envisage from TV shows that almost immediately put me off due to the clip selection/gathering. I wouldn't have thought of clipping as a time when I could zone out. I find I really have to keep myself focused or I wind up grabbing a ton of stuff that is in no way relevant to the vid I'm trying to make -- or I get lost in watching the episode and forget that I'm meant to be clipping!

ITA about the gestation period, though. Clipping is a vital part of that.

For my next vid, I want to take Motion for a test drive. I know it's got a lot of interesting canned text effects that can be messed with, but I haven't even begun to explore yet.

Motion eh? Sounds interesting.

I had my first play with FCP a few weeks ago, and if I can get a reasonably priced Mac laptop to run it, I'll go my first Apple ever.

If my experience is anything to judge by, you won't be sorry. FCP is great, and the Mac OS is really sturdy and reliable. If not crashproof, it's the next best thing.
