Any idea why I spelled flour "flower"?

I did notice that, but it seemed churlish to proof-read for homonyms when I was salivating at the imagined aromas from 100 miles away.

(Entertainingly, I just asked Google Maps how far it was from Oxford to Cambridge, to check that memory served, and was told "We are unable to calculate directions between Oxford and Cambridge" !! I was just wondering whether this was due to irreconcilable philosophical differences or mere academic snobbery, when I realised Google thought I meant some place called Cambridge, Massachusetts... (I've even heard a rumour there might be a university there, but I refuse to believe it) )

Maybe all the association with herbs and veggies subconsciously demanded something more garden-related than the white stuff in the packet??

I shall mem this; I love stews. I think you mean "flour" though. :-)

Also, I'm sure no one ever complains about your cooking!

I do mean flour, yes. My brain has stopped bothering with spelling; it is very peculiar. I have a real sense of no longer typing what I'm thinking, but something my fingers have interpreted.

I found my fingers have become more phonetic, typing words like enywon. :-P
