Just thought I would share this pic which was taken on our deck. We have an empty field next to us which is used to launch hot air balloons. They usually do it at dawn or dusk, sometimes both, and sometimes with multiple balloons. They are rather cool to watch so I thought I would upload a picture to show just how close they are.

Yea, doin just fine. Happy the semester is over, big time. I'm not gonna work over the summer, at least not as of now, but I am gonna work in the fall, what about you? What are your plans for the summer?

Well, I got a job at the Williams-Sonoma store in the mall, but they can't give me regular hours so I might get a second job working at the Camp Letts Stables and doing feed shifts and mucking stalls for horses. (Yes I do, in fact, like the barn smell). :P

I think I'm also going to the Outer Banks for the first time ever in August! I'm pretty excited. I like vacations...

Yea, I like vacations too, but I wish I had more of them. We always used to go to the outer banks every year when we were younger, it is great down there, one time we nearly set the entire beach on fire, i.e. for future reference, gigantic sparklers and dried grass with wind don't mix ;-p

Ryan that's AMAZING! I'm totally in awe at how close that is.
That must be so calming to see that on a fairly regular basis. :D

Since it's so close, have you ever gone in one?

No, I've never gone up in one. I have a thing about heights, and being in a wicker basket with 4ft. sides thousands of feet in the air while relying on a large flamable tarp with a 50 flame shooting up the middle of it doesn't sound all that fun to me. But they are fun to watch. They get here sometimes at like 6:30am and around 7pm to go up for sunrise and sunset rides which is cool, it's a rather amusing perk to our house.

Yeah, dude I'm terrified of hot air balloons. I could so see myself freaking out in mid-air wanting to come down: so I agree with you *nods*

Ha that's so cool. Did you know there would be hot-air-balloon-amusement when you got the house? xD

yea, they mentioned it right before we moved in, but we didn't realize what it would be like.

So what are you up to this summer, are you gonna work like everyone else? How was your semester?
