Nathaniel turns away from the pie he had been making to look at Damian. Just looking at the vampire has him wanting to touch, to kiss, to be as close to him as possible, but Nathaniel has more control than that. He wipes his hands, steps a little closer, and looks at the titles.

"Oh," he says, smiling slightly. "I gave those to Anita when I first moved in."

God, that feels like a lifetime ago.

He looks from Nathaniel to the DVDs, rereading the titles, which are simply names and dates. The only common thread between them is that 'Nicky Brandon' is listed first on all three cases. Even if he hadn't been able to glean some information from the surface of Nathaniel's mind through the new metaphysical bond they share, he could assume that was Nathaniel's stage name for the films.

Damian feels the need to be closer to Nathaniel and gives in to the urge. Rounding the counter of the island, he stands closer. Proximity is good. Touching would be even better, but Nathaniel is obviously in cooking mode, and Damian doesn't want to risk somehow messing something up.

"Jason was here when I found them, since we were going to use his equipment at the Circus after our shifts. He said something about 'the crypt scene' and sunbathing on my coffin?" He makes it a question because he has no idea what the werewolf had been talking about.

Nathaniel laughs, returning to the lattice work on his pie. It's nice to be home. It's nice to have Damian close, as it eases the need inside them both. And while the mental bond to the other four was odd, Nathaniel is adjusting to it as he has adjusted to most things beyond his control in his life.

"Back when we were in Tennessee. They had your coffin taken out from the plane, resting on the tarmac, and I was sunbathing on it. I was trying to make Anita recall that particular scene. Stupid me, she'd never seen the DVD. Not that I blame her."

Neither can Damian. Porn doesn't exactly seem Anita's style. Judging by her movie collection, she was more a Disney, old musicals, and badly made metaphysical horror sort of person.

It's not that that makes Damian pause and stare, however, but the description of what had happened in Tennessee. He isn't sure how to react to it.

"You... were actually sunbathing on my coffin?" he asks.

There's something distinctly ironic about that.
