Well, it's been a week since I've been back, and I'm finally adjusting to life again without mountains. It was absolutely magnificent up there, pictures don't do it justice, pictures never do

Hahaha, oh man, I so would have tried to jack that painting of the smoking Elk. Or at least painted a smoking jacket onto him.

You know, I almost did steal it, and replace it with a crappy picture I saw in a gift shop. Then I thought about the situation for a while and realized it would be such a hassle to take on the plane, so I canme back to the chalet and took that picture of it.

I heard I missed some fantastic Ontario weather while I was gone. All I had was sun and mild weather the whole time in Alberta.

I need to get into the city more often! I suck.

Awesome. I went through these on facebook, but "MOUNTAINS!" The view from the chalet is amazing and cozy, and the deer are cute. Downtown Banff looks really similar to Jasper.

Oh boy. I just spent five days snowboarding in the mountains near Denver. I didn't take my own camera, but hopefully I'll have shots from some of my friends' soon.

I like the shot through the window of that ice castle. And all the panoramas... Do you have a panoramic setting on your camera, or do you use the "stitch assist" thing?

it's the stitch assist thingy. Which is fun, but sometimes it feels like it takes forever to put the pictures together.

I messed up a lot of other shots because I couldn't find my spot amidst millions of trees.

I've never actually tried it. The results are better than I would have thought... I'll have to give it a shot sometime.
