Chinese Ghost Story really is one of those turn-the-world-upside-down movies, isn't it? I also saw it by accident, and walked out in a daze of wonder.

I hope it was in a theatre. The China Theatre was a neighborhood movie house that was one ace away from being torn down -- on rainy days there was a river down the stairs inside -- and a local Chinese investment group showed movies there for the community. They served this amazing sweet popcorn and they got all the big classic films. I also saw "Tragic Hero" with Chow Yun Fat there, another insane movie.

I wish I'd seen "Miracle Fighters" on a big screen. Watching it on my phone was enough to make my jaw drop off.

Yep, it was in the Grand Illusion Cinema on 50th just off the Ave in Seattle's U District. A friend took us there as a surprise to see the movie.

The China Theatre sounds awesome.
