but then why must i rely on these movies and images to describe (to myself, no less) what i see when i close my eyes or dream or daydream? Perhaps it is because to communicate, we need a point of reference. It is easier to refer to something that another person can relate to when communicating an idea than to try and verbally/in writting describe it. For instance, unless someone has seen "blue" how would the other person be able to reference it? But if someone has seen "blue," and you refer to something "blue," then they know to what you refer. It is the same as when describing an inner vision: how do you translate it without referencing something another knows? Whether you describe it from "sratch" in words describing individual components or refer to other worlds as whole places, you are still referencing something already established
