Thank you - it looks sensational!

I am not sure what Graham cracker's are - but assume it is to make a slightly sweet biscuit type base? Or are they actually savoury?

I hope your wife enjoyed it and had a good birthday.

Ah yes, Australian/British equivalents. I'll see if I can dig up an Australian equivalent for Graham Crackers. Its a cracker made with Graham flour, and sweetened in part with honey. Of course, you probably know what Treacle is, or Lyle's Golden Syrup for that matter, where most north americans would just give you a blank stare :). I'll see what I can do.

Already found this:

graham crackers Notes: These moderately sweet crackers are made with whole wheat flour. They make great snacks for kids, but cooks often crush them and use the crumbs to make pie crusts. Cinnamon or chocolate flavored graham crackers are also available. Substitutes: digestive biscuit (This is a similar British product.) OR wheatmeal biscuit (This is a similar Australian product.) OR ginger snaps OR chocolate wafers OR vanilla wafers

Ah ha! Wheatmeal biscuits - like treacle and Lyle's golden syrup - I do know.

Thanks for that - I might see if Mum and Dad would like to sample this recipe while I am visiting them over Easter.

BTW - I loved the notion of a preview sample. :)
