Rewatching Angel season 4.  What is it with Joss and 4th seasons?  It's like his shows are a parabola of seven seasons, the 4th being the bottom point.  Yeah yeah I know Angel only got five, but you get the idea.  Buffy had the whole initiative thing with captain Whitebread boring up the whole show.  Angel gets an even worse deal.

And soooo with you on the whole SW lament. Looooove the original 3, really never watch the new ones, because of crappy acting, too much special effects when the story so doesen't need it, awful characters and the list goes on.

Hi, mrs.felis mentioned you were grumpy and mean to Papa Winchester, so I had to have a look.
Now, you can knock on AtS all you want, and I'm of the opinion that all three new Star Wars films (I adore the old ones) are complete and utter crap in every way. Though I'd take Christensen any day over the boy cast as little-Anakin.

I speak the truth: The Papa had to go! The show is better for it. Every time he came on he ruined it for me, don't know why, I just didn't like him one bit. No loathing as with Connor, just did nothing for me. So RIP Papa Winchester and good riddance. *ducks flying puppies*

Mm. I will give you this: As with movie monsters, a good part of the John Winchester appeal was built on his being absent for so long - more of a legend than a real person.
But I loved the heck out of him once he showed up (and he really wasn't on that much), all obsessed, flawed and morally questionable father. Now that he's gone, the legend is back.
Anyway, if he didn't do anything for you, you gotta at least love him for his offspring! :d

Let's just say I liked the Plastic!Winchesters version of that particular story line better ;-) Denny was soooo trying to get out of there man *smirks*

No Denny was ok, but the whole Teary!Lizzy-for-weeks-on-end thing did bug me. So I can't honestly say I was sorry to see him go.
