[is already getting up from where he was failing to sleep on the Doctor's bed. grabs his backpack and hurries to the doorway, picking up a small cabinet door that still remains to be used as a shield and peering out into the hall, hoping someone's taken care of that robot that shot Neil]

[He forces a weak smile and tries to pick himself up, but damn it all, it hurts so bad. At least he's not bleeding like crazy. Still, he finally manages to stand on his own.]

It got my arm and side. [He attempts to lift his arm for a better look at the damage, but he quickly drops and grips at it to apply pressure and hopefully dull the pain a bit. No plans for a repeat action if he can help it.]
