So the drawing problem has reached new heights as I was unable to do the portrait of my girlfriend's coworker in time for her birthday, and the rate things are going I may not acheive my goal of doing the 12 author portraits at all as I can not seem to draw anymore. As a distraction, here is my sis as a zombie.

Here is my August portrait, the late great H.P. Lovecraft. Speaking of late, I was a day late on this, I blame Batman: Arkham Asylum for the XBOX 360. At any rate, this is from a photo I found on the net. If you've ever seen a monster with tentacles, blame this guy.

Here is July's portrait. Jane Austen, I tried to read her book Northanger Abbey to get in the spirit (it's her shortest) but I couldn't get more than a third of the way before I quit. I was blocked for a little while recently so I drew an Alien from memory. It's not great but it got the juices flowing again. I am coloring it now and will post that soon hopefully.

Quick drawing I did in color with pens and markers for my niece. It's kinda small (half sheet of paper) and it scanned terribly so i slightly tweaked it in photoshop.

Here is June's portrait, Chuck Palahniuk. He wrote the book Fight Club was based on and he has quickly become my favorite author. This one is a bit sloppy but I think reading the comic From Hell has influenced me to try and loosen up my line work a little. 9 X 12 watercolor paper with felt tip technical pens.
