Guy Fawkes huh? Bah Humbug. (In the interest of animal welfare).

Bought to you by Orpheus the Wondercat, who isn't feeling too damn wonderful right now.

I have a rather nervous dog's head resting on my knee right at the moment...

I hope the head is attached to the rest of the dog man! ;)

I can't tell the difference between particularly bangy fireworks going off and someone banging on the door for playing the Crüxshadows too loud. Either way, called me slightly on edge; though i suspect it was the latter rather than former.

Poor Orpheus is switching between hiding under the bed and shivering, and running around the house wide-eyed and terrified. Mind you, I'd have the same reaction if someone was playing The 'Shadows too loudly at my house too ;).

Hmmm - Lenore seems fine...last I saw of her she was curled up on the chair having a snooze and then started cleaning herself....she seems pretty content really...

That's cool. The problem here is that we've got neighbours on three sides letting off fireworks simultaneously.

Yeah I think Lenores had time to adjust - what with living opposite a park, our areas been sounding like a wr zone these last few days.

Some stupid idiots even managed to set one of the trees on fire...funnly enough it was our flat that called the fire brigade :P

Maybe I'm getting old or something but In I thought the same thing about fireworks being louder than ever this year.

It's not just you, the bangs that were banging were definitely like little bombs. I figure it's because of the diminishing returns of nostalgia over chronology. Because fireworks seemed more impressive as a child, they have to be made more impressive now.

Yeah, when i was a kid firecrackers were this big, and Popsicles cost only 5 cents.
