Texas Longhorns are National Champs

Texas beats USC

Hook'em!

It's about freaking time, I was getting tired of hearing how "unbeatable" USC was. It also awesome because it was Texas that did it, in the National Championship game, too. First LSU, now Texas, needs to be Alabama for some other Southern team next.

USC's 34 game winning streak is now over.
They really only won one national championship, LSU won the other.
And that's a negative on Alabama.

I love when winning streaks end, unless it's a team I really like, which are few.

And I was just using Alabama as an example, I don't think they have a snowball's chance to ever win, but they did say the same about the Red Sox a couple years ago in the ALCS.

wonder if they'll still be #1 in the polls even though they lost the champs game...depends how much they paid off the AP

Surprisingly, Texas is ranked #1 in both the AP and USA Today polls. That's the first time USC hasn't been there in a while.
