Before: In the van... mparkerceo March 3 2007, 00:55:06 UTC
Parker was wearing black jeans, jacket, and heavy boots, as well as her gun. She'd gotten the headsets at Radio Shack, and was now watching the closed-circuit feed slowly come into focus on the screen of the video equipment.

"Everyone ready?"

Jack looked up from checking his gun and slipped it into the shoulder holster, glancing around the van before returning his gaze to Parker. "I'm good." He was in black and almost-black, but other than that, was dressed much the same as Parker.

"Should I bring the broomstick outside the van?" Cedric asked.

"It might be a good idea," Isabel nodded. "Just in case we need it fast. Not that we will of course."

Parker took out the explosive from her pocket, and put the gum in her mouth, looking up for the wire connecting the electricity to the fence. Silently, she placed it over the connectors, and wrapped the foil around it. Then stepped back.

*snap*
*crackle*

*POP!*

"Impressive," Isabel said as she stepped forward with the wire cutters. Two minutes later, there was a slice in the fence large enough for them to push through. "When we come out, I'll fix that. That way no one will ever know someone came through."

Jack stepped forward, waiting to be sure the guard was nowhere in sight before pushing through. "Good, he said, very quietly. "Better they don't know how we got in." Once through, he crouched low and drew his gun, holding it by his side while he kept watch.

Inside the warehouse. mparkerceo March 3 2007, 03:43:51 UTC
Parker got the door open, and held it for Jack, getting her breath back after a second. She nodded to one of the security cameras in front of them, then turned right.

Behind glass walls, banks and banks of computer monitors and mainframes blinked and glowed. She checked her watch: 11:52. "Seven minutes," she whispered.

He nodded, checking it against his watch. Time was critical; they couldn't afford to be out of synch. "How far," he whispered, pacing quietly behind her, and trying not stare at reflection that wasn't him.

"Two corridors, then we're at the data upload station." Parker didn't look sideways; Jack's voice was all wrong, deeper and with a twang, and it was throwing her. They probably should have practiced this first. She turned down one corridor, the lights blinking in the low lights of the warehouse, and noted the times on the mainframes: 11:54. "It'll take ten minutes exactly, Broots said."

"Okay." Jack glanced at not-Parker, spared a brief second to hope Cedric could change them back, and then gestured down the corridor. "Let's move it. 11:59 exactly, right? Sooner we get there the better." He broke into a gentle jog, adjusting automatically to the new body's shorter stride.

Outside -- 12:17AM mparkerceo March 3 2007, 04:51:29 UTC
Parker was rushing for the fence when she saw a guard running towards them to intercept them. "Oh, crap." She veered south, putting on speed as she rounded the corner of the building. "Weiss, Isabel, Cedric! We got cut off! Guards outside the building, and the guy inside spotted the tape feed!"

"Okay, dammit. Uh... this would be a good time for me to be heroic or something like that, right?"

Nothing was ever simple.

The most important thing was that Parker get out with the info, so Jack veered off and started running towards the guard. He looked like one of them, he figured he could sew enough confusion to delay things.

The gun he kept hidden behind his back.

"Jack!" Parker started to turn back, then put on more speed in her original direction, cursing under her breath. "Damn you into hell, Harkness, Sam is gonna kill me...."

Meanwhile, the guard pursuing them, Vern, slowed as he saw "Mel" headed toward him. "Mel, man, what's goin' on--?" His eyes widened as Jack didn't slow down.
