"So. Next week, we meet with the people who want to distribute Peepcapolypse Now, and you have to know what you want before we walk in there," Parker was saying. "Limited distribution? A website? DVD deal? Whatever it is, we need a game plan first."

Parker paused. "Hmmm." Then she blinked away that image. "Two ponies. And cake, damnit. The movie is perfect for their DVD focus, and they're dying for something to put in theaters right now that won't cost them anything more than the release. It's Spike Lee all over again. Except with more Peeps." She toasted Zero, and said, "Mostly because we hold your show back until they give us what you want. What do you say, if they ask for a sequel?"

Then she shook her head and reached for the fried rice. "They can't have Zero vs. Hollywood. It's mine. S'not like it costs anything to make so far, anyway, and YouTube's fine for now. Have you seen the hits?" The new hotness had driven some traffic to the old Tom Cruise videos, too. "I keep the sequel rights and make no promises, but they can distribute if we do go ahead with a second one. Honestly I don't see it happening. Just Born's probably already got a nosebleed over allowing the one movie."

"Of course I've seen the hits, Angelo texts me updates every 10,000 or so. He loves your show." She shook her head. "Just Born will get such terrific free advertising out of this they'll probably beg for a follow-up, but yeah, not if you don't want to. Okay." She made another note on her Blackberry, transferring Zero's cocktail-napkin notes to solid state, and then said, "Streaming I think we can get, and the DVD might be delayed 'til after, but, if we time it right, we can maybe talk them into sponsoring some nominations to the indie film awards. The main thing is to make sure they know we have options, which we do, it's just, I like these guys because they have the whole package." Parker forked up more lo mein. "So to speak. Otherwise, you'd have to commit to three different companies to get the same stuff, and you'd never see the checks until next year." She raised her eyebrows. "Do you care about the awards, though?"
