Shao Yuan Dormitories, Building 9, Peking University, China; who-the-hell-knows

To say Parker is jet-lagged and edgy is a major, major understatement. She got here on-- Friday? Maybe?-- and has only slept 4 hours since.

Maybe someone can tell her what time zone she's in? And what to do about other problems that have come up?

Isabel had double checked timezones and was fairly certain it was morning in Peking. Whether or not Parker was awake remained to be seen.

"Parker." For once, she hasn't checked the caller ID. That's how discombobulated she is. Parker squinted out into the dark quad outside her window and started looking for her alarm clock.

"Evans. The jet lag hitting you that hard?" she asked cheerfully, well aware she was out of shooting range.

"It's dark outside and I can't find my damn clock and I've been awake... I do not know how long I've been awake. But I have classes when it's light again," Parker said, throwing herself on her bed. "God. And I thought Moscow was bad!"

Zero...had not checked time zones. In fact, it was possible she didn't know what time it was in LA, either. But she was calling Parker anyway.

"What day is it, what time is it, what year is it?" Parker demanded blearily. "Also. I have crab rangoon."

Half of this was in Chinese.

"No clue, no clue, but I think it's still 2009," Zero said. "I probably have crab rangoon in the fridge, since we're living on takeaway still." Zero's end was also half in Chinese.

"Yay for that, at least. It just feels like portal-lag, I'm so messed up," Parker said, picking through her box for the best ones. "It's dark out here. That's a clue. I think." She squinted out the window, down into the quad. "Or maybe it's an eclipse, like on your show. Have they set you on fire recently?"

Bridge has no idea what time it is either. This is because the latest monster to attack Newtech City had done so at three in the morning, and, well, once he was all put away in tiny card jail, B-Squad had been so hopped-up on adrenaline that no-one had gone back to sleep.

And now, Parker's phone is a-ringing. Because what else to do in the post-monster-attack lull but catch up with friends?

Oh yay, phone. Since Parker is *still* way too wired to sleep. Or check the ID.

"Peking University, Shao Yuan Dorm, Room 921, no, we don't have any idea who won The Amazing Race last week," Parker informed her caller. "Or what time it is. Hi!"

"Dude! Hey! I have no idea what time it is either, but I'm pretty sure it's still 2024 at least, so that's something?"

"Awesome!" Parker grinned into the phone, and yawned. "Zero promised me it was still 2009 here. So at least we have that going for us. Why don't you know what time it is? You shouldn't be switching time zones."
