Parker had walked into town with Ben, but abandoned him to the joys of the local hardware store in favor of the ice cream parlor next door. She'd appropriated a bench on the street, and was currently amusing herself watching passersby, mostly tourists who didn't understand the one-way streets or the tiny street signs

Parker flipped open her phone, checked Caller ID, paused to lick her cone and absently said, "I have found the best chocolate-chocolate-chip in the land. Too bad it's way the heck up in Maine."

Parker snorted. "I have 4000 count sheets at home. I own 99 pairs of shoes. Um, yeah." She grinned. "I could ship you some. So, what's up?"
