The postcard to Ben's B&B is written in unfamiliar handwriting, with an unfamiliar name. It probably never had fingerprints on it that match anyone Parker's ever met. But she still knows who it's from.
It takes a while, but eventually Bridge figures out why his emails keep bouncing. Which is why Parker gets the following email sometime Thursday afternoon:

Good to hear you're staying out of trouble. I'd love to see you and catch up on everything- maybe Saturday? Had an anniversary this Monday, only it wasn't much fun because I was sort of sick with the worst sore throat *ever*.
No new invasions that I know of, unless there's been invasions of invisible people and we just can't see them.
That's all the fun and exciting news from this part of the world.

Saturday works! And yay for the anniversary, although I'm sorry you were sick. I'm catching up with Jack on Friday. Right now, in the middle of mailing half my stuff to different people so I don't have to take it with me to Oxford. Broots gets Boxey, but I'm keeping the cabinet you made for me. Far, far too useful.
