Parker had managed to distribute four of her kids - Catie, Nick, Sophia, and Michael - to their respective fathers. When he thought Parker was off the phone, Ben knocked on the door to 234.

Parker sighed, and dragged herself to the door, opening it, then smiling involuntarily when she saw Ben. "Hey. You guys all okay?"

Parker blinked at him, and opened the door wider. "Okay. That sounds... ominous." She gestured over to the bed, or the bean-bag chairs. "Have a seat."

Parker left him a cocoa where he could smell it, but it wouldn't spill on his computer, and went to tuck a big blanket around Elaine, who was watching the movie with rapt fascination.

Ellie fell asleep in her ice cream, and Parker had to pick her up and take her back to her room to get her undressed. Elaine slept through all of it, and then cuddled up to Parker.

It was easier to leave her on the bed, after all.
