A terrific rebuttal to these criticisms was posted by Jewish Voice for Peace - a fabulous group of American Jews who base their positions on international human rights law - and good ole solid thinking. The rebuttal is specific to a letter a group of Israel firsters Rabbis (I know, a virtual redundancy) wrote to my church shortly after the revised statement was posted, but the rebuttal serves as rebuttal to the Israel-firster party line tactic of calling all criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic.
