Two Drabbles or Your Mods are Great Big Perves

Oct 01, 2010 15:23

As you may or may not be aware, your mods are great admirers of the - ahem - male form, and have had some trouble taking their eyes off the pic we used in the last post to promote the new drabble fest. Here's the photo for those who missed out (and boy, did you miss out!):

I can't even form enough coherent thoughts after that to try to guess which one of you fantastic ladies wrote which. You both deserve all the love and half-naked pretty boys in the world.

In the first one, I love the description of the movements--how the boys got to their positioning in the pic. Remus' teasing at the beginning ("Is that all he is to you? A good mate?" / "Well he might be a bit more than that") is adorable. And I enjoy Sirius' concern over the scar and how Remus quashes those concerns. The whole drabble is very intimate.

In the second one, there is just so much emotion! How you can manage to pack so much into so few words is incredible. My favorite line is "--a fragile, rare gift that Remus had offered to only a chosen few --". You describe Remus' trust issues so well and so beautifully there. And of course, the way Sirius' regret is portrayed is lovely.

I'd be happy with just those two half-naked pretty boys from that picture. *sighs in satisfaction*
Thanks for the compliments! :)

I agree with your guess! I think remuslives23 write Defining Moment and dogsunderfoot wrote Forgiveness in a Heartbeat.

It's that line in the first drabble; The blue eyes glitter in the dim light. remuslives23 always writes Remus with blue eyes!

There is a lovely smoldering burn with delightful flirting too in Defining Moment.

And there is so much tension as well as love in Forgiveness in a Heartbeat.

As to who wrote what, this is getting more and more difficult with the twins here, but I think Defining Moment. is Julie's and Forgiveness in a Heartbeat is Di's.

Di is making me a much better writer - I actually happy with some of my fic now when I reread it. Not telling you if you're right, though. Not yet. *retains mystery for a bit longer*

You're being too nice. *pets you*
You were always brilliant. You've just gotten more experienced and your writing has matured. It probably has very little to do with me. :)

'The twins'--chuckles.

Frankly, we scare me. ;)
Hey, we may be planning a contest that will be right up your alley. *snickers madly*

These are both gorgeous! I really love them both. My first instinct is to say that remuslives23 wrote the first one, if only for the mention of a blue-eyed Remus but then it could all be a clever ruse... hmm

I have become wily in my old age! :) No single quote giveaways, we both use blue eyed Remus... The answers are coming!
