I just read "Under the Net" today and now I am completely in love with London, even though I have never been.

If you've never read it you really should, I think your would love it, and it could help with your determination to move there.

I've never heard of it.

I hadn't either, I picked it out from the library almost at random. I just liked the name really.

It's really good though, it's about this lazy English intellectual who coasts through life translating French novels and leeching off of friends who somehow gets involved in this zany adventure with movie producers, socialist politicians, mime theaters, famous acting dogs, etc.

He's kind of like an English version of The Dude from The Big Lebowski.

I fell in love with England. And the whole of the United Kingdom in general. It's so beautiful and I had nothing but fantastic things to say about it when I got back.

I'm Canadian, and the people there were nothing but warm and welcoming. A lot of them would talk to me about wanting to travel to Canada, especially Toronto, where I am from, so I shared that in common with them.

I've heard that it is a lot harder for Americans to live there due to everything that is going on. Even the Americans on the tour I was on had a rough time.

Yeah, I've heard about that whole midwives/homebirths being covered in most provinces here. Why does that particularily interest you? Was your son born at home?

And, yes, we do tend to stay out of most conflicts. I know it bugs a lot of countries but in a way it makes me really happy to not be directly involved with wars.

I'd always love to do those card exchanges but of course I never really mail things in return and that would suck of me. I'll probably do it next year, meh.

I too want to move! I'd really love to move to New York. I thought of London too. And then Toronto ... oh, everywhere. Hope you make a decision!

I can still send you one if you want...even if you don't want to give me one back. It's up to you.

Have you ever been to London? Trust me, it's very easy to fall in love with. Toronto is also a fantastic place to live, even though I may be a little biased. lol. That's one reason why I could never permenantly live in England, I would miss my city too much.

Aw, that's sweet but I'd feel guilty and terrible for not being able to send one back. Really, one day I'll do this though!

Yeah I went a few years ago and I did love it very much. Toronto I've been ... okay, basically everywhere I want to live I've been once or twice so I'm aware of the environment. I'm sure it's different if I actually live there but I'd like to try a place out once just to see what it's like.
