A couple of days ago I went to the Science Centre here in Toronto to see the Titanic exhibit currently being shown. I've always been fascinated by the tragic circumstances surrounding the sinking on April 14th, 1912. I saw that exhibit in Philly and it was amazing. I've always been drawn to the story as well. I was just blown away by the exhibit though. I still have a couple souvineers I got from the gift shop, like my golden Titanic coin that hangs by my window.

The '97 movie was really good. There was one done about a year before it with Cahterine Zeta-Jones that was also very good.

I saw that Catherine Zeta-Jones version. I thought it had some good moments.

I didn't buy a souvenir but I thought it was cool that our tickets were made to look like real tickets, including being given a passengers name.

I was a first class passenger and I survived. I thought that was a really interesting way of making the tickets.

I'm so glad you posted this. This exhibit came within a few hours of where I live, but I didn't have the chance to go see it. I wanted to, and I wondered what it was like. I've seen both of the Titanic movies, and was moved by both of them. The exhibit sounds like it helped make the movies' stories so much more real.

Oh, it definately did make the real people come to life. The exhibit was divided into sections, first class and third class. It also had a part dedicated to the men working in the engine rooms all the way at the bottom of the ship. It was incredible.
