Stolen Sidekick update....Case Closed!

For anyone who's been following the story of the Stolen Sidekick that I've previously mentioned here.....the story is now resolved! The girl who refused to return it before was finally arrested and she surrendered the stolen property. Of all things too now they came up with yet another story of how they "obtained" the phone....this time it was

WOW! I hadn't heard of this story, but I am glad they finally got it back.

I am glad too, although I'm wish she had just given it back before the police became involved....what did she think that she couldn't be arrested for giving back stolen property and threatening the owner to "just try and get it back"???? And what gets me is how many times the story changed about how they had come to possess the phone, and now in the end the mom says she bought it.....come on you but a few hundred dollar phone off someone on the street for a fraction of the cost, and you don't think it may by chance be stolen? Not only that but there had been a reward offered if found & returned...so literally she could have gotten her money back for what she had paid, and all this ordeal could have been halted right away. Whether it was the mother who got it, or the girl, both should have known better...but with both coming up with "stories", it really brings home the fact that "parenting starts at home"....is there another parent around who should have known better and could teach basic morals and common sense? Geesh!
