Stayed awake especially for this! :-) Love the fact that you brought Jared's family into this fic, Jeff sounds like a great guy! Just the fact that he picked the lock to make sure Jared isn't alone makes me smile!

It's scary to think that Lehne is still going after victims even years later, it makes me wonder what stops he pulled out not to be convicted earlier.

Ross is still a complete ass! He's got lots to make up for before I even can start thinking of liking him.

Lastely - I have to agree with Jeff and Jensen - “No way in hell is Jared doing that!”

Jensen just has to beat some sense into Jared, there is just NO WAY Jared can be allowed to go undercover.

Thank you sweetheart! That scene was a bit emotional to write.

Let's see if I can answer some of this lol. Lehne has gone through so many young men that he does have trouble recognizing victims. They all have similar characteristics and built b/c he has a type. So they blur in a way. He always remembered that he has one that got away. Jared will have lots of issues that come up b/c of what he plans on doing, but he has grown and changed in his appearance some. He's more muscular now b/c of his attack. Lehne is very powerful and rich due to his family and his place as senator. He has lots of resources and he's smart. They only ever suspected him b/c of Jared.

I have one more chapter already typed up and will be posting it Thurs or Fri while I write chapter 5 )

I didn't have that in mind when I wrote it. As you'll see in the next chapter, Jared has his reasons for what he is doing.

Wow, okay! I can't tell you how excited I was to see this posted :D And it was totally worth the wait (not that it was a long one or anything). I loved how you brought Jared's brother into the story. That was fantastic and at first, I was like "wait, what? Why is Jared in the morgue?" and then it all clicked and the flashback was brilliant. It felt real and my goodness, it totally made me fall in love with Jeff. I'm so glad that he's there and protective of his baby brother. He's awesome and then the way it merged to present day with Jensen standing there, very well done. And I really hope that Jeff works hard to try and convince Jared to tell Jensen that his attacker actually was Lehne... especially since the idiot rookie suggested that Jared go undercover. Oh, this is so not going to go well and I'm super scared for Jared! Even if they have the entire police force there and are able to stop him before he does any further physical damage, the mental and emotional trauma that it's going to make him go through again... oh my poor baby

Aww! Thank you sweetie!! I love having the families in fics :). I read a fic awhile back where Jared's brother was a big part of the story, and I fell in love with it lol. So I'm very happy to hear you liked my version of Jeff :D. And their mom as well lol. The families as well as the friends will be big parts of the fic :). I have Jared's family in the next chapter as well lol.

Yes, Lehne remembers the name, but that doesn't mean Jared will use his real name undercover. Furthermore, Lehne's always gone after boys with similar characteristics. They look similar. And Jared has packed on more muscle since his attack.

I'm glad everything seemed real. I take that as quite the compliment *blushes*

WOw,great chapter. I am in the middle work taking a much needed break. I had been dying for the opportunity to read this since you posted. So I gave myself a break and here I am. and boy was it a good choice.

I really liked how you tied in the past and present. I though that was well done. I love Jeff's charachter and I look foward to reading more about him. AND WOW I cant beleive Jared AGREED... wont Lehne's recongnize him? AND JENSEN is sooo not gonna go for it. :P sorry i am once again getting way too into the story :P...READY FOR MORE WHENEVER YOU ARE :)

Glad this worked for your break :). I tend to do that when I'm on break from classes lol.

I love writing flashbacks, so I'm glad to hear that they flowed. There will definitely be more of that to show the past for the boys and how that reflects the future.

Yes, Lehne will eventually realize who Jared is...that was probably obvious that it had to happen. But at the same time all his victims favor each other so it won't be immediate. Jared has also packed up muscle since he was 16.

Will have more Thurs or Fri hun!! And I love how into this you get. I makes me smile *hugs*
