Trust Oliver to side with the kids. But that's because he's never had to deal with the real possibility of his kid seriously hurting someone. Chloe's right, they never know when his strength might kick in. It's better to teach him to always be careful, to back away from a fight. Also fighting never solves anything.

Connor should have told his parents that Michael pushed him twice before he retaliated. But, yeah. He's the son of Superman he can't push a kid even if they deserve it because he might not know his own strength.
