I'm Aquarius, which would explain lots of things actually. I never was much for astrology, but there has to be something behind it. A simple example from my life, every guy that I had problems with - couldn't get rid of when they bothered me - was a Lion. It's a rule, my new flatmate is a lion too, and when I asked her about it, suddenly all problems and the uneasy feeling I get around her - or rather annoyance - had a pretty logic reasoning. A lion.

And the family thing. I know the feeling, as much as I know it's my family and try accept them, it's not so easy. It's as you said, detached. I am not overly close with most of them, and I don't regret it.

But when it comes to choices it's not so easy. Hell, apparently my choices are fatal for me, since I can't get around my own happiness and how to actually attain it.

I think the reason people are so doubtful of astrology is just the way it's typically portrayed. Yeah, your birthsign is very important, but it's not the be-all and end-all of someone's chart, and you can have people who don't really resonate with their sign at all because other aspects of the chart itself overpower it. Too, people assume astrology is some ~*mythical fortune-telling device*~ which it...really, really isn't. It's actually a very practical science, once you get down to it. (I was rather astounded to discover this myself, as I'd spent years really not believing in it at all, then randomly started researching it on a whim just to pick out birthdays for some of my characters. XD)

Most horoscopes you see in magazines and the like are total bullshit and not real astrology at all. XD

The Leo thing with you makes so much sense, though -- Aquarius and Leo are polar opposite signs, so it's no wonder you have problems with them! And in regards to the family thing, I think that for Aquarians(/people with Aquarian tendencies), ( ... )

I'd love that. It's always something new to try, and it's not like I have anything to loose. With the freaking out I do for the last few weeks I could use something like that : )

I really enjoyed reading this. I used to go in for astrology a lot. I'm a Pisces and I used to really see those Pisces qualities in myself, but then I became very cold and logical and stopped seeing them. Now my interest is starting to be piqued all over again, as circumstances in my life change and I change.

That can actually happen a lot, with astrology. There's a lot more to all of us than just our sun signs, but they can lie dormant for a long time, waiting for something to finally properly activate them. (That happened to me, too, and the change I went through was sort of hilariously drastic. XD;;;) I'd be curious to know what else is your chart besides just the Pisces -- I bet it would explain quite a lot!

And, really, if you'd like, I'd be happy to do up your birthchart for you and give you a reading. :3b

I believe I have some Capricorn and Scorpio in my chart, and I think some Aries? (incidentally my best friend is Aries and our relationship is pretty much textbook Pisces/Aries interaction from what I've read - Pisces needs motivation! Aries tries to provide it!)

A birthchart/reading would be pretty awesome! as long as it didn't impede on your other stuff XD what would you need to know?

Just your birthdate/time of birth if you have it, and birthplace!

And it wouldn't impede on anything at all -- I love doing this. XD;;; (Actually, I want to do it for a living ahaha.) And we can do it via email (strawberry.chiffon@gmail~), or aim (papilio bianor)! Whichever is easiest for you. :3b

...I wish I knew more about astrology, it seems so fascinating. ;A;

All I do know is that I seem to be a Pisces to a T.

And I don't believe people should be judged just by where they come from or what they have or haven't been through. None of that is a person's choice, and so gives no real reflection on their character.

What counts is what they choose to do with whatever it is they have been given.

(And the "but you can't choose your birthchart!" argument doesn't work with me, either. No, you can't. But there's a good and bad side to every planet and sign and house and aspect, and it's up to you to decide which side you want to activate and cultivate. It's all about choice there, too.)

i agree, especially with the first two paragraphs i've quoted--even if you aren't into astrology, it still rings very true, IMO.

i dig on astrology, too, though i tend to be more concerned with my own sign/rising sign. >.>
