"Let her go, Erik!" and Charles is running across the lawn, cheeks bright red and blue eyes livid. It's rare that Charles gets angry, but seeing a guest in his care abused, threatened, and by someone he thought better than that--

Erik was actually in the process of releasing Rain as Charles came running up; she slid down to her knees on the grass to catch her breath.

She wasn't angry; this was the best things probably could have done. She hadn't even passed out. She couldn't talk just yet, though, so she merely looked at Charles with a slightly weak smile.

Erik himself is still angry, although he's now confused on top of that - a dangerous thing.

"Fine," she manages after a moment, letting out a cough.

Erik, for his part, doesn't wish to deal with anything that Rain has brought up for him; he heads back toward the house.

Rain makes a vague attempt to bat his hand away. Really.
