Aly had a basket. A basket with mewing kittens in it.

She came through the house because that's where people were usually found and then started laughing at the pink.

"You're not afraid the other kids will tease her at school?"

"I raised her to take names and kick ass. And, since she lacks opposable thumbs, it was mostly just kicking ass she learned," Wade replied, watching the fox run to Aly and bounce to try and get at the basket.

"I'm just saying, when Ow beats her up, totally not my fault," Aly said, setting the basket down to let the kitten erupt out of it.

Ow predictably went straight for Max. Dee sidled over to Wade to say hi and demand her loving.

Max tackled as soon as the kitten was close enough. She was a proud, pink wearing warrior fox.

Really.

Ignore the excited little yips.

"Like Ow could," Wade said, scooping up Dee to idly scratch her head.
