BWI Airport, Early Saturday Morning

Jan 02, 2009 21:12

They arrived at the airport looking... well, fresh wasn't the word. Nate was looking like Nate, which implied that he didn't look jetlagged in the slightest, and his features implied a certain kind of vigilance. No more, no less. "I'll get a cab."

Because Nate was sort of an asshole about that whole sleeping thing. Oh, suuuure. He could live on an hour of sleep a day. Big deal!

"What day is it again? I think we went back in time."

"Saturday," Nate supplied, easily, shouldering his carry-on on the way to baggage claim. "Eight thirty-five AM." He really was a prick like that.

...

"Why do I feel like I should be doing something here?"

"Despite your theories about my 'stalking'," Nate replied, "I don't actually have your schedule memorised-- baggage belt 14."

Wade fished around in his fanny pack manly pouches for his ever so important schedule that he rarely used. "Pick up students. Don't kill any," He read. "...aw, crap."

"Hm?" Nate paused by the baggage claim in question, and glanced back at him.

"I have to pick up the new students today... sometime. There's a bus and everything." A beat. "Hey, you wanna do the town a favor and greet the new students as mayor as I sleep?"

Nate's bag was summarily pulled from the belt. "I'm getting a quick cab home to pick through any built-up issues," he simply said. "Welcome to the wonderful world of being vice-president."

"IT'S PRINCIPAL, YOU JACK-ASS!"

Wade glared after him, causing a few people to move away from the crazy man.

Nate threw him a look. "Good luck," he said, patiently, "Traffic should be easier."

He was an evil and smug bastard. Wade oh so cheerfully flipped him off and went looking for this mythical bus. "I hate yo~ou!"

Nate smirked faintly, shook his head, and headed out towards the cabs.
