Friday, and it's probably bedtime

This week was a bit of a wash. I tied myself into knots because I wasn't being as productive as I wanted, and that of course resulted in my doing even LESS because my brain is a ridiculous creature that responds to that sort of thing by shutting down and procrastinating. *sigh

Ooh, I'm happy to see that you like The Nevers so far. I told B that we should watch it but haven't pulled it up on demand yet.

I have since learned that it's executive produced by Joss Whedon, and therefore my enthusiasm has waned considerably. I feel weird about even indirectly supporting his stuff these days. IDK, it's all complicated. *sigh*

Ugh. I have no nice words to say about Whedon. He's left the show, though I don't know if that's enough to make it better.

I heard he left, too, so I am giving it another shot. I am especially interested to see what the sixth episode looks like, since apparently he left before that episode was written or filmed.

I am intrigued by the premise and do like the characters, although so far they have suffered from the same "Joss Whedon Writes Strong Women" problems that can be found in all of his work. I'm hoping new writers will allow these promising characters to truly blossom into something more three-dimensional.
