Don't ask me what I was doing surfing YouTube when I was meant to be doing System Development homework but I came across this Sims 2 trailer which I haven't seen before and I simply had to share with my fellow simmers

That's awesome Shady! I wasn't into the franchise when sims 2 was initially released so I never saw any of the first trailers. Too bad so many of the actions didn't actually end up in the game. Kids jumping into their parent's arms is cute! I love that this was clearly made before they swapped fame for popularity too. Thanks for sharing!
I'm much the same; I didn't start playing the Sims 2 till the University EP hit the streets, before that I was pretty oblivious to the game. Yes, it was very sweet the way the toddler jumped into his dad's arms, I wish more actions had been made available for toddlers, the only options they have are "Ask" and "Influence". How cool would it be, for instance, if toddlers were able to "cling to dad's leg"? :D
LOL! I've never seen that before. The probe bit is funny. I like the toddler with the baseball bat too, my Mobacy could have used that. Instead of a guard dog they could have had an attack toddler.

Yay - I was able to show you something new! And I agree, there really should have been some of those great toddler actions included in the game. Hehe, it was pretty funny when the old guy transformed himself into a maid - with boobs and all! :D Well, though there was no "Romance" door in the clip I assume that that part was Romance. ;)
And they first planned to call it fame instead of popularity? I guess that's pretty close, and popularity definitely allowed for more variety.
Who knows? Maybe one day TS4 will come along, and we might see some of these again. I'm just giddy with the possibilities, even if the machine it would require would make necessary some sort of brain implant to play it!
I didn't even know that we nearly had Fame instead of Popularity, it really is very interesting to see how things like ideas for games evolve, and hopefully improve.
lol, I'm right there with you Chris, I'd definitely get TS4 brain implant too. X)
LOL! No need to bow. My husband, then boyfriend, had the original Sim City, which ran on DOS. He and his brother played it everyday for a whole summer. He was the one that got me TS1 when it first came out years later.

It is too bad they didn't use those animations. I loved the toddler swinging on the tree.
The Knowledge bit was funny, but I think my favorite was the Romance one. XD
