Nice introduction. I can't help but think that those initials on the tree, SH and JYH, might work out to be coincidentally important later on in the story for Seohyun and Yonghwa. Premonition!

But we'll see...

And where you mentioned SH going to a protest over unions keeping their collective bargaining rights, it totally screamed to me the sort-of-recent protests in a couple of states between the governor and unions over the same issue. Just a random thought.

I'm happy you are back to writing, your stories aren't the cookie cutter type. I can't predict stuff LOL! It's great, keeps up the mystery.

And you end up displaying inner emotional turmoil of your characters without having to use too many words. That is talent.
