Nice review. Haven't read "Terrorist" yet but might do it during the summer if I find the time. If you had left out a few details, it could have been a review of many of Updike's novels IMHO - they are very much alike in style and in the way life works out for the characters. His descriptive style can be tiring but all the details are very funny if they are a part of your own (long forgotten) past.
The first thing I read by Updike were the "Rabbit" novels, which IMHO are still his best works. As the first of now a number of American novelist who write critically about the development of the American society, I especially enjoy how most of his characters try to live up to the unalienable right of the "pursuit of happiness", and - it's Updike! - how they fail. To me it feels like America condensed :-)

Thanks :) Got me "13-14 points" :D
It's the only Updike novel I've read, so I can't say anything about the others... but if I come across those Rabbit novels, I might give them a go ;)
