I'm so jealous that these bands travel where you live. I would dearly love to see real vk bands! Who has it been recently for you... D and someone else, right?
You're right! It was D and Satsuki x Kaya coupling tour. This year has been really lucky talking about concerts... Italy was always skipped few years ago (only D'espairsRay, DEG and Versailles, which I don't like, didn't), but now we had many good vk bands, even not the so-famous ones, performing here... I hope the trend will go on, though I would definitely travel abroad for my favourite bands (Merry, MUCC, Plastic Tree and R-shitei), I hope to be able to do it soon (´・ω・`) But I think I'll have to finish school first (_ _)' What about you? I know that in North America visual bands usually perform in conventions and especially on the West Coast, right?
I'm happy you're getting to see bands you like. I like D'espairsRay and Versailles, so I would have loved that, too! Seeing a MUCC concert would be like finding the Holy Grail for me. Alice Nine, Kra, and MUCC are the top 3 bands I'd give anything to see, but I'm sure it won't happen anytime soon. Plus, like you, I'd have to travel. If visual bands DO ever play in the US, they come to larger anime/manga conventions. The bad thing is that those conventions that can afford to host a Japanese band are all in major cities, and yes, usually along either the East or West Coast. The US is so big that it's really hard for someone like me who doesn't live anywhere near a major city or coast to travel there. The closest I've come is traveling six hours one way to see Miyavi at the House of Blues last year.
Still, if it were any of those bands I love, I'd pay the hundreds of dollars and distance hassle to see them.
Same here for MUCC ;_; indeed, it must be hard... Italy is little but its shape makes travelling difficult for people who are in East/South Italy, so I consider myself lucky to live in the North since it's easier to travel from here... I'll cross my fingers for you ^_^;
