I was just poking around LJ and then I saw your translations - and I realized that I had bought a secondhand copy of Shige's Steed some time ago. Thank you for this; I will finally be able to revisit it :)
Oh yes, I love creative non-fiction best actually, precisely why I fell in love and adore Shige's Aoi Hitorigoto (and him as a writer overall) in the first place.
I would like to say I look forward to more translations from you, but of course you might be busy with other commitments, so no pressure there ;)
I feel you. 10 years ago I stumbled upon Aoi Hitorigoto translations and fell in love instantly, no previous infatuation with Yamapi could compare haha
