Thank you for translating this, it's a very emotional piece I tried so hard not to cry but still ended up crying 😭😭

I never expect that Shige would be this open to talk about his grandpa but I understand why after reading it to the end, Shige is very proud of him.

It was mostly thanks to Shige's writing that NEWS became my favorite Johnny's group @^.^@

His essays for TRIPPER come out quarterly since only last December (I did a summary for the 1st one and hope to do more in the future). He also used to have 2 other series called Photoshigenic and Aoi Hitorigoto. A lot of those essays (and a ton of other things) were translated by Jiulia:

I've been wanting to read it ever since I heard that he'd be writing about his grandfather's death (I lost my grandfather in july this year so I wanted to know how he got through this). It's a very touching story and I really like Shige's relationship with his parents ^^

Shige's style feels like a good balance between sincere clarity and creativity... I always worry about not being able to fully convey it in translations but I try to do my best.
